Akirata is Cook Islands Maori for early light. A three bedroom family home tranquil in its private garden setting with an abundance of space for the kids to play and explore. The house is located just 400 metres from one of the best snorkelling lagoons in Rarotonga in the area of Tikioki in the district of Muri. From the beach it is a five minute walk to the house that gives you a true appreciation of the tranquil country aspect of Rarotonga.   

The home has three bedrooms, with 1 queen, 1 double and 2 singles.   There is also a sofa-bed in the lounge which extends the sleeping to eight.   All rooms open out onto the deck including the generous lounge with its TV, radio and Cd player. The bathroom has separate shower (there is also a shower & toilet outside), There are complete laundry facilities, washing machine and all linen, towels and beach towels, are provided for your stay.

A big dining table allows comfortable dining indoors and outdoors on the deck amongst a lovely private tropical garden setting with BBQ, outside table, chairs and loungers.   The view from the verandah looking towards the mountains is another scene that helps form the natural beauty of this lovely island. The beach is about 100 metres from a spot called The Fruits of Rarotonga which reputedly has some of the best snorkelling on the island. Further down with a pleasant walk along the beach will bring you to Muri Beach and the Sailing Club where you can hire kayaks, windsurfers and snorkelling equipment and where restaurants and small stores can be found too.

Total number of adults and children is 6. The sofa bed in the lounge allows for a party of 8.
The minimum tariff is for 1 weeks stay (7 nights).
