Maurua Beach Bungalows : 3 x Studio Units : Bathroom in Each
A group of three, newly built, beachfront studio bungalows located in Avaavaroa on the southwest coast of the island. The open plan design extends out to a covered verandah where one can enjoy the cool breeze while relaxing and watching the waves break over the reef.
Each bungalow has a high ceiling, polished wood floor and insect screened for your comfort. There is a breakfast bar with stools in the modern kitchen and also fridge/freezer, microwave, electric cook-top, jug and toaster. Kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, glassware and pots and pans are all there for your use.
The king-size bed and sofa bed allows each bungalow to sleep 3 people comfortably, there is also a TV, Standard fan and set of drawers. Bathroom facilities include shower, vanity and wc. An open-air shower to wash off the seawater after a swim is installed immediately before stepping onto the beach.
The laundry, with an automatic washing machine and ironing facility is located in a detached building at the back of the bungalows; the three bungalows share this facility. For your alfresco dining there is a circular table and two chairs on the covered wood verandah. Towels and linen are supplied as well as gas hot water.
The beach in front of Maurua Beach Bungalows is swimable, however, there is currently a coastal protection project in operation along the southwest coast of Rarotonga that entails the placement of specially designed concrete structures in the sea some meters away from the beach. This is to help build up as well as contain the sand banks along the foreshore. A short walk will bring you to a beautiful stretch of beach without the structures.
Total number of adults and children is 3 with children under 12 welcome.
The minimum stay at the property is one weeks stay (7 nights)
with a weekly tariff of NZ$1050.00 per week for two people
