In the heart of Muri and overlooking the gorgeous Muri lagoon is Muri Luxury Retreat. The home has been designed around an expansive common area which connects the swimming pool on the mountain side of the house, to the beachfront side and the glorious Muri lagoon, enormous concertina glass doors fold back making two walls disappear, effectivly opening up the homes high ceilinged interior to the island breezes coming off the sea.

Designed with entertaining and comfort in mind, there are three dining areas on both the front and back covered verandahs, and inside. A full chefs kitchen (the owner is a chef), will make the idea of actually eating out a remote afterthought for those who love to prepare food.

Taking breakfast whilst daydreaming looking over the lagoon after doing some laps in the pool or working out on the homes gym equipment must be on every persons “might do” list. If thoughts of the outside world come creeping in, the homes wireless internet broadband network will help you connect to everything you’ve left behind or… just turn on the satellite connected wall mounted flatscreen.

Off the main living area are the bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the beach side with folding doors opening up to the lagoon and an ensuite featuring a raised bathtub also with lagoon views.  The second bedroom opens up on the pool side of the home, and upstairs is a large mezzanine bedroom with views of both the lagoon on one side and the pool and mountains on the other. 

Just off the pool is another separate but fully contained house that is part of the same complex featuring two master bedrooms that open out to the pool and courtyard.

Muri Luxury Retreat is regularly serviced and two cars are available for rent on request. If you ever wanted to experience “Home and Garden” comfort and luxury in a tropical island setting, this would have to be it.

Total number of adults and children is 10 (including the separate cottage) with children under 12 welcome.
The minimum stay at the property is three nights.
The tariff for Muri Luxury Retreat starts at NZ$1600.00 per night for four people and drops to NZ$1200.00 per night for stays of five nights or more.
