Muri Moananui is situated on a beautiful large grassy section leading right to the beach/lagoon at the quiet end of the village of Muri. Consisting of 3 bedrooms the first bedroom has a queen, wall mounted reading lamps wardrobe, and a large ensuite with shower, toilet and vanity. Between the first bedroom and other bedrooms is a generous living area with settee, chairs, and stereo and open plan kitchen with breakfast bar, microwave full fridge/freezer, oven, 4-burner stove top, double sink and dishwasher.
The living area extends to the patio with doors opening up to garden furniture and a bbq to dine summertime style and sun loungers to sit with views of the lagoon and the small island (motu) named Taakoka away to the left of the section. Back inside as an extension of the living area is an alcove with chairs and settee to watch tv with dvd and video also provided. A side door here leads to a room providing laundry and ironing facilities.
Polar opposites from the first bedroom lie the remaining two bedrooms, the first, a king size bedroom (bed splits into two singles), a walk through wardrobe leading to another large ensuite consisting of shower toilet and vanity. The last bedroom has two single beds (can be made into a double if needed), great for the kids, with another bathroom nearby also servicing the living area

Our group had a fantastic time at Muri Moananui - the house was perfect for us and it was great having three bathrooms!! We had come for a friend's wedding and they even did some wedding photos down on the beach in front!
I hope everything was in order after we left. We washed all the sheets but left some on the line and put the last of the towels on as we were leaving. Also may have been a few things left in the fridge or cupboards but can be paid forward for the next people or whoever! Thanks very much for sending someone out promptly to fix the blocked sink as well - the drain was blocked outside so easily fixed.
It definitely was difficult leaving that's for sure!

Hi Eddie,
Just a note to say what a great time we had staying at Moananui. The house was spacious and comfortable, outlook beautiful and the garden was great for our boys to play in. We found the location was really convenient. Thank you also for helping us out with the spare key. We had locked our bag and money in the house and were booked to go on a 4WD Safari and getting the key so quickly meant we didn't miss out on going.
We love Rarotonga and would love to come back sometime. I miss drinking coconut milk already! We have recommended Moananui to some friends who plan to come to Raro next year, so I am sure they will be in contact. As for us, we hope to visit again soon.

Dear Eddie,
I just want to say thank you for such a wonderful home to stay in. I am sorry that I did not get to wash and dry the bedding before we left and I hope the towels were dry...of course they were its Rarotonga. My family fully intend to return next year at about the same time but this time we would like to stay for 14 days. I will get in touch with you next year to see if Moananui is available and to book it in when we have specific dates. What a beautiful place, I would love to live there for 3 months of the year. Get away from NZ winter especially in ChCh. That is my long term goal.
